Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Why do I need message on hold?
A. When someone calls your company, you have their full attention.
They have sought you out, made the call and they’re ready to do
business. This is the time to take advantage of that potential sale
by using your telephone. A caller on hold is a caller who is ready
to buy.
Q. Why choose TeleMessage?
A. We are the industry leader, with over 23 years experience
providing message on hold and other audio services. We offer a large
variety of licensed music selections, plus top quality voice talent.
Our state-of the art technology can be used with virtually any
telephone and/or computer system. We also produce radio commercials,
audio books and audio tracks for a variety of applications.
Q. Can’t I just play the radio?
A. No! Playing a radio broadcast or CD as an on-hold message
constitutes a “rebroadcast” of copy written material and is
prohibited under Federal copyright laws! TeleMessage uses only
licensed music. Our agreement is directly with the
writers/performers/owners of prestigious music libraries … libraries
used by the major television networks and advertising agencies.
Q. Why a contract?
A. It’s really a simple agreement that protects the owners of the
music we use and the copyrights of our written materials. A contract
also guarantees you timely delivery of a fully licensed product at a
fraction of the cost of producing it yourself.
Q. Why is a remote load better than a CD or tape?
A. This answer can be a bit technical. With a CD or a tape, the EQ
curve is set. It cannot be changed. All phone systems are different,
each connected by a unique chain. A remote load unit allows our
engineers to listen to your message on hold playback and adjust the
dynamics, EQ, compression, etc. for optimum performance … to get the
best sound out of your phone system. Sounds complicated? It is. We
developed this technique over 20 years ago.
Q. What happens if my remote load unit fails?
A. Give us a call, well test your unit for any usual systems
failures. If it has been determined that the unit has failed, we will
replace it at no cost to you for the life of your relationship with
TeleMessage. Q. Why buy the equipment, rather than lease it?
A. When you purchase your equipment, it belongs to YOU and
there is just a one-time charge. The equipment has a life of the
Tele-Message relationship warranty |
